Take advantage of regular workshops designed to build study skills, test taking strategies, stress management tactics, time management methods, and more.

Self-Care: Eating, Sleeping, & Relaxing

We will discuss how a lack of sleep, nutrition and other self-care habits can silently sabotage a semester, and discuss strategies for balancing school & work responsibilities with these personal needs.

Test Preparation & Test Taking Strategies

This workshop explains how college professors teach and write college exams. We will review some strategies to upgrade your high school study strategies to better, college-level strategies, to prepare for more challenging exams. We will also highlight a few recommended test-taking practices.

Managing Procrastination

Procrastination can hijack even a well-designed plan for success, and this workshop will discuss the ways we often set ourselves up for procrastination and strategies we can build into our daily habits that minimize the time we waste and maximize our productivity.

Note Taking Skills

This workshop explains the note taking process, from previewing before the lecture, to reviewing after class, with specific tips and tricks to learn more effectively in the classroom and later during review.

Time Management I: Creating a Weekly Schedule

This workshop introduces effective strategies for setting up a weekly routine to encompass classes, work, and other priorities, while keeping up with homework, projects and assignments outside of class.

Time Management II: Managing Assignments

This workshop discusses the challenge of keeping track of assignments and how a student can create an organizational system to manage those multiple priorities and meet those deadlines.
